Munich, 28th September – Leading global content group TELEPOOL, today announced the reorganization of the executive team at TELEPOOL’s World Sales Brand Global Screen as Julia Weber, the company’s former Head of Sales and Acquisitions, leaves the company.
Yoko Higuchi-Zitzmann, CEO at TELEPOOL, comments on Weber’s departure, “With her talent, charisma and excellent taste for international titles, Julia Weber has successfully shaped Global Screen for many years and has represented the Telepool brand perfectly to all our partners around the world. We are very grateful to her for her outstanding commitment to the Telepool Group and wish her only the very best for her future.”

Higuchi-Zitzmann then announced the appointment of Brianne Bonney as Head of TV Sales at Global Screen, starting November 1st. Based in Munich, American-born Bonney will lead the Global Screen TV distribution team in its sales efforts across the company’s large and diverse TV films and series portfolio. She will also directly spearhead TV sales, especially to English speaking territories such as the UK, USA and Canada.
Higuchi-Zitzmann says, “We are very pleased that we have been able to recruit Brianne as the new Head of TV Sales for Global Screen. With an excellent team of experienced sales colleagues, she will continue to expand global sales of TV and streaming programs. Our focus here is on growing international series and formats in both acquisition and sales. In addition to the large international network that Brianne brings with her through leading roles in top international distribution companies, she will make the new business unit more dynamic and expand formats and remakes.”
Industry veteran Bonney’s sales expertise covers all genres including TV series – both scripted and unscripted, entertainment and scripted formats and feature films. Bonney has significant and wide-ranging experience of many aspects of the global content business having held senior sales positions at major international distribution companies including Bavaria Media International, Red Arrow International and Turkey’s Global Agency.
In addition to Brianne Bonney, who is strengthening Global Screen's TV sales division and international streaming business, Klaus Rasmussen will further expand the successful feature film division and Ulrike Schröder will be responsible for the acquisition of high quality content.
Global Screen will attend next month’s MIPCOM with a diverse range of brand new programming including the highly anticipated Davos 1917 (6 x 45’), a spy drama based on real events that occurred in the early days of the European Secret Service; pulsating documentary Munich ’72 (3 x 45’ or 1 x 109’), the chilling story of the 1972 Munich Olympics terror attack; the hugely popular series Seaside Crimes (2 x 90’), intriguing crime stories by Ismail Sahin shot in a stunning and largely unknown part of Europe which appears idyllic but has many secrets to hide; The Undertaker (1 x 96’), a black crime comedy film.
