The latest thing on Berlin's party scene is the synthetic drug known as "Heaven". When the manufacturer of the drug, Christoph Gerhard, is found dead, investigators, Till Ritter and Felix Stark take on the case, along with Melissa Mainhard, an experienced narcotics officer, who has been assigned to support them.The dead man's computer has disappeared and, along with it, the recipe for "Heaven". Who is now trading in the designer drug? Perhaps it is Gerhard's partner Dirk Regler, who is transferring money from the business account to a bank in the Channel Islands? Or Ivo Kaminski, who has already come to police attention as a courier and a middleman? The finger of suspicion also points to the young Tom Hartmann, who suddenly seems to have a lot of cash to throw around.The inspectors also happen upon a very different secret: their colleague Melissa is terminally ill. The mother of two is particularly worried about her eldest daughter Anny as she feels the teenage girl is slipping away from her. What Melissa does not know, is that through her friend Tom, Anny is at risk of becoming entangled in the case. Tom was seen with Gerhard on the night of the murder. When his identikit picture was released, he fled.
