Germany 1932. The world-wide depression weighs heavy on the struggling Weimar Republic: Mass unemployment, poverty, governments falling apart right and left. The winners of the shaky democracy's constant crisis are the radicals on either side, who turn the insecurity into electoral success. One man knows how to profit from the pandemonium: Adolf Hitler. Thanks to the growing share of the vote for his NSDAP and the other parties' inability to join together to oppose the Nazis, Hitler is declared Reichs Chancellor on January 30th, 1933. Hitler manages to turn his elected office into a brutal fascist dictatorship within a year.
