This is the story of a playful, wild, little mermaid called Undine, who saves a prince from certain death and then falls madly in love with him and his world above the water. To be with him, she must give up her old life under the sea and leave her father and sisters. She is helped in this by the mysterious and powerful sea witch, Mydra, who demands a high price: once on land Undine will be struck dumb as a fish, every step will cause her pain and if the prince chooses another she will disappear in the foam on the tips of far off waves. Undine is prepared to wager everything for love and sets off to follow her great desire for the unknown world above the water.
