Harassment at work: first someone puts crushed razor blades into Mary's gloves. Then the attractive young woman has problems during a task force operation with her colleague Andreas, who has been harassing her for some time. Finally she is suspended from her post.

The next day Mary is found dead in her car. A difficult case for Detective Inspector Jürgen Tauber and his colleague Jo Obermaier. For Mary was a policewoman and she was married to a policeman. Tauber, however, refuses to be hoodwinked, even though everyone believes that Mary committed suicide - and for this there were good reasons. He smuggles his colleague Jo into the police station as an undercover officer. A difficult task - for Jo is soon made to feel the rough climate on this shift. Shortly afterwards, she too becomes the victim of an acid attack. And there are increasing indications that an incredible plot has been hatched in the highest ranks of the police ...
