Devoured, denigrated, deified - man has always had a very ambivalent attitude to this bristly creature. In some religions it is despised, yet it is also regarded as a lucky charm and sign of affluence. The general trend is to show more respect for the pig - nowadays it can even be found as a domestic pet in the home. Yet there is a wild boar is lurking in any tame pig. And those who rebel against domestic life as a pet soon turn wild again. The TV team visits the "Wild Boar family", accompanies the pet pigs Moritz and Smarty on holiday, gets to know the heroic pig Luise, visits happy farmyard pigs and, finally, on the Warder Ark Farm discovers how wonderful and diverse a sow can be: pigs in clover!
