Millionaire spinster Frida suddenly finds herself young again when she takes a mysterious pill on her 80th birthday. But now no one recognizes her, and she has to start life over again as a mere mortal... On her 80th birthday, millionaire heiress Frida finds herself all alone in the world. She never married and has no children. She discovers a mysterious pill which her missionary doctor father brought back from far away, which promises to heal her of the ailments of old age.
The pill's effect is not quite what she expected, however: Frieda's body becomes young again, while inside she remains herself. But who would believe a 20-year-old claiming to be 80? Suddenly she finds herself locked out of her house and her fortune. Not even her aged gardener Roman, her secret flame for years and years, recognizes her any more. Instead, the police start a search for her, while her nephew George and his wife will stop at nothing to get their hands on her riches.
Driven by hunger, she finds refuge with her great-niece Mona, a single mom whose freewheeling lifestyle she always frowned on. From Mona, Frida learns what it means to life a normal life - a long and hard learning process for the heiress, but a great delight for the audience to watch?
