In Your Hand (3/20)

Ariane Albayrak comes to Turkey, desperately searching for her son, who has been abducted by his father. Since there wasn't a lot German authorities could do for her, she has resolved to take up the hunt herself. Once in Istanbul, she seeks help from inspector Özakin, but all he can do is refer her to the missing persons department. The homicide cop and his assistant Mustafa are busy with the killing of a bank watchman in a robbery. Even though the man was shot in broad daylight in a busy part of town, no one seems to be able to give a description of the killer. Both the shaken bank teller and her boss try to help the police as much as they can, and soon a confessing culprit is found - too soon for Özakin's taste. His skepticism riles his boss, who is eager to present a speedy arrest to the press. Intricate family ties and hidden graft make the web of child abduction, bank heist and murder ever more complex...
