Nothing turns men off more than a princess who slays the dragons herself. Christine Keller, a highly successful linguist, is constantly confronted by this dilemma. Since getting divorced years ago from her colleague Erik, the attractive woman in her mid-thirties has been single. Not by choice - but the men she encounters seem to take fright at the mere mention of the fact that this self-confident, professional woman is also a doctor of philosophy. Moreover, she is dedicated to her work - and then there is her mother Luise, a feng-shui fan and a time-consuming, nerve-wracking character. In order not to be quite alone in the world, Christine would really like a child - but without a man. Isa, her best girlfriend from their schooldays, has the apparently perfect solution. Her ten-year relationship with the rather unemotional Fabian, manager of a snack bar, seems to be suffocating in routine and boredom. A little, carefully dosed affair could work wonders. Fabian is to be the father of Christine's planned baby - but unfortunately the down-to-earth caterer can't stand the "arrogant yuppy harpy". Unfreiwilligerweise, denn die Männer ihrer Wahl bekommen schon Angst, wenn sie nur hören, dass die selbstbewußte Christine einen Doktortitel hat. Außerdem ist sie ja schon mit ihrer Arbeit verheiratet, und auch ihre Feng-Shui-begeisterte Mutter Luise kostet Zeit und Nerven. Um auf der Welt nicht ganz alleine zu sein, hätte Christine am liebsten ein Kind - aber bitte ohne Mann. Isa, ihre beste Freundin aus Jugendtagen, weiß die scheinbar perfekte Lösung: Ihre zehnjährige Beziehung zu dem zurückhaltenden Bistro-Wirt Fabian droht in Routine und Langeweile zu ersticken. Da könnte ein kleiner, perfekt dosierter Seitensprung Wunder wirken. Fabian soll der Vater von Christines geplantem Baby werden - doch leider kann der bodenständige Kneipier die "arrogante Yuppie-Tussi" nicht riechen. Christine und Isa müssen tief in die Trickkiste greifen, bis das starke Geschlecht endlich schwach wird. Der Plan funktioniert perfekt - zu perfekt: Denn manchmal wollen Männer nicht nur das eine?
