Hostage Behind Bars (16/49)

Trouble behind the bars of Munich city jail: Homicide inspectors Ivo Batic and Franz Leitmayr are called to a hostage situation. Prisoner Nic Schuster holds a fellow prisoner hostage, whom he's threatening with a screwdriver to his neck. Can the detectives help avert a tragedy, seeing as they put Nic behind bars?   The warden tries to keep a lid on the situation. The SWAT commander is trying to figure out what Nic is planning: Does he think he'll get away with it? What does he want? The prison is thought to be escape-proof. Think again: Schuster's cell mate, an Algerian named Hassan Adub, manages to escape. Schuster remains behind - dead. While Batic takes up pursuit of the fugitive, Leitmayr remains behind to find out more about the prison - a world of bars and concrete, numbered doors and numbered days.
