Why have so many buffaloes, rhinos and other wild animals died in recent years in the Ngorongoro Crater? Yet gnus and hippopotami were not affected! Was it the numerous ticks which suddenly appeared in the crater? These vampires which transmit diseases with their fangs, causing animals to die? Or was it the strange plants which were somehow brought into the crater and then proliferated? Why are more and more trees dying in the crater? Is the paradise in danger? Questions and questions which Marcus Borner, Pete Morkel, the rhino researcher, and the park rangers have to answer in order to save the eighth wonder of the world. The teams have to work mainly in the evenings and at night when the animals roam through their realm, the Ngorongoro Crater.
