Four-year-old Melanie has disappeared. A brief, unobserved moment in a shopping centre. Her parents are in despair, utterly distraught. The psychotherapist Silvia Jansen takes them under her wing. At first the police are at a loss; then a blackmailer calls and demands a million. Is he really the kidnapper? Perhaps, perhaps not.
