Lions and elephants, zebras, giraffes and baboons - what people see on safari and what we know from numerous animal films is only the daylight view of African wildlife, and this is relatively easy to observe. Yet, throughout the world, there are many animals who are only active by night, and it is no easy task for us to watch them and to understand their living conditions. Large, round eyes and huge ears characterize the night-active galago. Even though this cute animal, also known as a bush baby, is not so very rare, one seldom catches sight of it in the African bush. And yet it is one of Africa's most fascinating animals. Why, although it looks as if in dire need of protection, is the bush baby active at the most dangerous time, i.e. in the darkness of the African night? The film tries to find the answer to this question.
