A Special Kind Of Cat (116/268)

A special kind of cat? This Mira certainly is - she may even be one of the few survivors of this species. Mira, the little snow leopard, was born in the zoo of Nordens Ark in Sweden, in March 2002. Technicians from Bayerischer Rundfunk managed for the first time to instal special cameras in the leopards' quarters, thus enabling them to film Mira's birth and the first weeks of her life. For a whole year the team observed Mira together with her mother Tangra and her father Tito. This is a very special film, granting insight for the first time into the nursery of the snow leopards.
