A race against time: The planet is getting warmer, reducing many species' habitats, some of which may disappear forever. Often these species facing extinction are forced to blaze new trails and adopt new survival strategies - including the world's largest predator on land, the polar bear. In late August 2009, a film crew headed for Spitsbergen, along with a team of scientists, crafting a documentary that manages to show the polar bear in its natural environment, capturing some stunning footage of breathtaking situations.
