This four-part documentary takes an exclusive and critical look at his career, his successes, and his dizzying fall from grace. In the late 1990s, Ullrich sparked huge enthusiasm for cycling in Germany. Then Germany's only Tour de France winner took a wrong turn: doping, alcohol, and criminal offenses. Together with Jan Ullrich, the viewers travel to the most important locations in his life: from his early life to the scene of his great triumph in Paris and then onto the setting for his most difficult personal defeats – with commentary from Ullrich himself, his friends and colleagues, and his family.
