It's a big day for the Räbers: the dam they have built is being opened. During the speeches, Robert Räber makes an announcement that angers his son, Dani. But a tragic accident suddenly makes it all appear very unimportant.
Kägi, meanwhile, is searching for Zingg. He is convinced that Zingg had something to do with the death of his brother-in-law and that the Räbers are also involved. But Zingg has disappeared. To make progress, Kägi asks Rosa for her help with a bugging operation. Rosa must bug Dani's mobile phone. Can Rosa deceive her son's father like this?
Ganove Strunz is under a great deal of pressure – he has huge debts. His creditors are not the type to show mercy either, in fact, violent brutality is their stock in trade when it comes to recovering what’s owed to them. An article in the newspaper shows Strunz a quick way of making cash. He must up the ante on the Räbers – with some kidnapping and extortion.
