Threatened Saviours
During a mission on the banks of the Elbe, a paramedic is suffocated in his vehicle with a plastic bag. His young colleague Greta Blaschke was unable to help him. Detectives Karin Gorniak and Leonie Winkler search feverishly for a motive.
At the ambulance station, they hear of increasing hostility and assaults to which the paramedics are subjected in their work. A short time later, a second attack is made on a vehicle of the same station. A female paramedic is seriously injured, another colleague dies on the spot. The fear of further attacks grows at the emergency station. The ambulance is only operated with police protection.
Gorniak, Winkler and the head of the police department, Schnabel, investigate in all directions. The paramedic Hagen Rigmers becomes the target of the investigators. Does the murderer have a personal motive and is Greta Blaschke the only target?
