During a raid, the brutal policeman Ronnie Volkert causes the death of the teenager Soufiane Hamid - who falls from a balcony. The only eyewitness is Volkert's young colleague Fabian Rösch. Volkert is never brought to justice for the crime. Four years later, the policeman dies in the same way - he falls from a great height onto the asphalt.
Rosa Wilder and Manfred Kägi find out that someone had caused the death and suspect Soufiane's brother Farouk Hamid. But he is nowhere to be found.
Meanwhile, journalist Jenny Langenegger receives a USB stick with bizarre contents. The video shows the intimidated Ronnie Volkert before his death: Volkert confesses that Soufiane fell from the balcony because of him. Jenny hands the stick over to the police.
The murder of the colleague Volkert is also the talk of the town in the police canteen. This is carefully observed by Jesch, who delivers to the canteen's kitchen. He attentively follows the investigation of the murder of the police officer. What is it about him?
