The discovery of Jonathan Moyle's lifeless body has a direct impact on Berkowitz. Suspecting that the police’s official version of what took place is a lie, he starts his own investigation. Helped by Lara, he manages to get to Javier Rulfo, head of the local arms industry, and Raimundo Assad, the main negotiator in the sale of weapons to international suppliers. Both try to dissuade Berko by different means, but the journalist insists on knowing the truth about Moyle and discovers that Divine Day has secrets concerning his tragic death and a connection with the men who control the arms business in Chile. Berko suddenly finds himself entangled in a web of weapons dealing, prostitution and drug trafficking that threatens the safety of Julianne, his ex-wife and retired journalist, and Simon, his teenage son. Overwhelmed by the circumstances, the journalist pressures Divine to deliver reliable data that can strengthen his position. The young escort confesses to being aware of information that immediately sparks Berko's interest. They both go in search of the evidence that will become front-page news in newspapers across the country: the Chilean army is engaged in an illegal arms deal with Croatia; there is a consignment of weapons, which has been signed off for customs purposes as humanitarian aid to the former Yugoslavia. The story vindicates Berko with his bosses but leaves him with a target on his back.
