Lies

With the discovery of Porto's body in the old circus caravan and Simon still on the run, Kägi is pushed back into the center of the investigation. Rosa launches a manhunt for the suspects. Simon's mother Laura is desperately fearful for her son, but she cannot offer Rosa any further help – she seems to be guarding a dark secret herself. Kägi, who remains suspended due to a previous incident is furious with his sister and feels deceived by his nephew. Still, he wants to accompany Rosa and her French colleague Jean as they search for Simon and Adelina. In the meantime, however, these two have actually parted ways – Adelina found the money in Simon's rucksack and no longer trusts him. Both the investigators and the crime boss Korday are now closing in on the young couple. But this is a race that is finally won by the detectives and ends with Simon, Adelina and Korday all in custody. In the interrogation, Simon admits to stealing the money. He swears though that he had nothing to do with the murders. He also knows nothing about the murdered Porto. In Thallingen, meanwhile, other leads are proving useful. Susann and Leo have been studying Artan's final text messages, which indicate that Artan's lover was also at the party. The decision is taken to order DNA tests on all those at the party to find the mystery man. It’s a decision that makes Leo Mott increasingly nervous – he is desperate to hide the fact that he was Artan's lover. Kägi arranges for his sister to visit Simon while he is on remand. When he is left alone in the police station, he sneaks a peek at the state of the investigation and notices a photo of an amulet which looks familiar to him. In his camper van, he finds an old newspaper report with a sketch of precisely this amulet. The article is about a serial rapist who was never caught. One of his victims was Laura.
