Fire destroys more than one existence in the seventh and final season of „The Undertaker“. Fire is at the center of a spectacular case, whose solution challenges genius sleuth Luc Conrad to the max. And fire – or rather its absence – causes anguish in his private life.

A murderous duo – disguised as bear and wolf – start a killing spree in the town of Aarau. Their victims die by heroin injection, their faces covered with ash. Investigating the revengeful duo Luc comes upon a dark family secret. This is not the only Aarau abyss Luc Conrad and his cop colleagues dive into, due to homicides at the local racetrack, among cringe-inducing taxidermists and on the fringe of Swiss society.

All these cases offer Luc a welcome diversion from his private drama. He and Anna-Maria are freshly separated. But unlike Luc Anna-Maria does not grieve over their broken relationship, since she has found new love already – thereby increasing Luc’s pain. New love: that is what Erika wants for Fabio, introducing him to the infinite possibilities of online-dating. Doerig and Semmelweis are confronted with new yet well-known roommates. After a trip abroad, Vanessa Doerig sets up residence with her surprised father. And coroner Semmelweis gets ambushed by an intruder. Naturally this causes friction – especially with regard to the fridge: Did the coroner take work home?
