Vitalis and Remi still have some money left and decide to visit the opera house. From the balcony, they watch a beautifully heart-wrenching opera. Upon leaving the theatre, a huge crowd is waiting outside for Vitalis. They heard his beautiful song on the streets and Vitalis is now famous! Nonetheless, he wants to hear nothing of it and lashes at Remi. Distressed, Remi runs away. But it’s very cold outside in the snow and he returns to Vitalis. Together they fall asleep against a shop window, under Vitalis’ coat. The next morning, Vitalis eyes remain closed.
